Superb Career opportunity for a recent Mechanical Engineer/ Industrial Product Design Graduate (BEng / BSc Mechanical Engineering)
The company will train but you must be adaptable and willing to learn
Involvement in all aspects of design and development of plastic, metal and wood components, from initial concept to production.
Carry out concept origination and engineering using 2D/3D CAD Software and liaising with suppliers and other internal departments.
Create and maintain a Design Justification and Design History for all designs
Design in line with reliability safety requirements, incl. internal and EN standards
Issue and maintain all associated drawings, specification and documents (eg component specs, assembly instructions)
Create New Component Evaluation plans & carry out evaluation
Support New Model Evaluation
Support AQ system by providing information for and completion of certain AQ documents (eg Change Point Analysis)
Resolve issues identified during the development, following assessments and recommendations from the R&D Laboratory Engineers
Redevelop relevant components during MP to resolve issues linked to original design
Participate/review designs and drawings, ensuring consideration from a design and manufacturability aspect.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
Graduate within a mechanical engineering discipline or similar, i.e. Industrial Design.
Should be familiar with Catia V5 (other 3D modelling packages may be considered).
Must be an effective team player.
Good working knowledge of Office software (Excel, word etc).
The ability to write reports, evaluate products / components and interpret test results.
Additional Specifications / Comments:
Must be able to adapt easily with a rapidly changing business environment.
Experience of design for electro-mechanical components / product design desirable.
